This app offers basic forms of Acol, Benji Acol and SAYC (Standard American Yellow Card) bidding systems. Optionally, from version 4, the app offers subscriptions for upgrading to the Pro version, including a choice from a wide range of bidding conventions. There is also an Ads-Free subscription choice. Select the "Upgrade" button in the HELP panel to subscribe. Users of the original Pro app before version 3.5 automatically get the benefit of all these subscriptions for free.
Previous versions of BJ Bridge will be withdrawn in due course.
Some new features since version 3.3:
Supports new Apple devices, including iPhone SE 2nd generation and latest iPads. Supports iOS 14 and iPadOS 14.
Show your cards with suits re-aligned to Dummy. You may turn this off in ‘Bidding and Playing options’.

Updated to run on iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, with support for new Apple devices, including iPhone SE 2nd generation and latest iPads.
New conventions now offered via an options choice: “Finding NT or Major games”. You can turn on “Fourth Suit Forcing” and either “Crowhurst” or “New Minor Forcing”. These all help in choosing between a suit and a NT contract and whether to go for game. Also more refined bidding when choosing between a suit and NT contract.
New option to show your cards with suits re-aligned to Dummy. You may turn this off in ‘Bidding and Playing options’.
Improvements when connecting with another player, after choosing to defend against your partner’s contract.
Improvements to “Two Over One” and ”Forcing 1 NT” response, including an explanation in hints for why these conventional bids do not apply in some cases.
More improvements to Splinter bid handling, particularly tighter rules for detecting that a bid is a Splinter.
Improvements to suit length and strength inferences during bidding.

BriJ now supports the optional use of Dark Mode as introduced in the latest versions of iOS and iPadOS.
There are also several cosmetic changes to improve appearance in, for example, the icon bar, bidding box and options screens. The card table is enlarged to suit tall iPhones.
Fixes: removed spurious underlines on scoresheet; a problem with unresponsive BridgeWebs “download as pbn” is eliminated (for iPad in landscape mode). Rare freezes when relaunching BriJ from a background state are now avoided.

BJ Bridge Pro now works more consistently with the most recently released iPhones and iPads as well as the latest iOS and iPadOS 13.3 operating systems. For example, the ‘options’ screens are easier to use and the BriJ screens make better use of the available space on the latest iPhones. Some minor improvements.
